She believes this so deeply that at the end of each semester she gives her students a small book, Are We Good Enough for Liberty?, by Larry Reed. She wraps it up with a present: their own toothbrush. It’s her little reminder to them that the very things that advance our health, elongate our lives, and make us happier are often little things that we take for granted every day.
